The Erasmus+ Project ‘Game On – Level Up!’ introduced a groundbreaking webinar on 20th March, 2025, highlighting its innovative Gamification Toolbox and six unique educational games designed to revolutionize vocational education and training (VET). This initiative brings together partner organizations from Finland, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands, aiming to significantly enhance digital and pedagogical competencies among teaching staff.
The centerpiece of the webinar was the unveiling of the “Gamification toolbox for ‘rookies’,” a comprehensive online course structured around six interactive modules. This resource is tailored to equip educators with practical skills and knowledge to effectively integrate gamification strategies, including XR training and immersive technologies, into their curriculum. Modules range from the basics of gamification and serious games to advanced topics like game design principles, digital tools integration, and assessment techniques.
In parallel, the webinar showcased “Game On – Six Serious Games,” an ambitious collection of virtual educational games collaboratively created by the international partnership. Each partner developed a game addressing critical soft and transversal skills, which are transferable across educational fields and levels. Notable themes explored include entrepreneurship, hospitality skills, green skills, digital assistance via AI avatars, and social skills within immersive Metaverse environments. These games aim to motivate and engage students by offering innovative, real-world scenarios and interactive learning experiences.
The webinar emphasized the pilot phase, outlining how teachers and students will actively participate in testing these serious games, ensuring their effectiveness, usability, and accessibility. Feedback gathered during piloting sessions in Finland, will fine-tune the games for wider educational use.
